About this Event

According to the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, it is estimated that one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime. Although it is accepted the cost of mental health is not merely a financial issue, calculating the costs of mental health challenges can be influential when making the case for investment in preventing them.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) state that mental health is about how we think, feel and behave. Anxiety and depression are the most common mental health problems. They are often a reaction to a difficult life event, such as bereavement, but can also be caused by work-related issues.

Lynn Smith, a qualified instructor accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health from Stellar Mind will deliver the presentation to explain about mental health first aid at work. She attended CQI Birmingham early this year and has kindly agreed to a webinar due to the current difficult and challenging climate.

Agenda:

19:00 – 20:00: Presentation by Lynn Smith

20:00 – 20:30: Q&A

20:30: Close
