Assurance - to build a culture of assurance

About the CQI

After the end of the First World War, 500 British weapons inspectors from the Inspection Department of the Ministry of Munitions formed the CQI, the only body that offers Chartered Quality Professional status. They have grown to include 20,000 quality professionals worldwide since their remit was expanded in 1922 to promote efficiency and commerce.

Only Chartered Quality Professionals can act as true business partners, positively impacting the financial bottom line, eliminating unnecessary costs and waste.

This grade is for experienced people whose main focus is on quality, including consultants. Members at this grade can use the post-nominals 'CQP MCQI'. At this level, CQI members make a profound and positive contribution to organisations.

As a Chartered Quality Professional, Josh works for Olympus Global in Tipton, West Midlands. This opportunity was not only a recognition opportunity within the industry, but also for personal growth.

Josh Phillips told Temple:
"The first time I came into contact with Temple QMS and Bob Hughes was when I worked for my former family business, G.E. Starr in Wolverhampton. They assisted with the transition from ISO/TS16949 to IATF16949.

It was at this time that I was very much in my infancy in quality. However, Bob personally allowed me to shadow him, which greatly enhanced my knowledge of quality principles and techniques, particularly auditing. I have completed a variety of quality related courses through Temple over the years and have never found a fault with their service."

Bob Hughes, Managing Director from Temple QMS said:
"Quality in an organisation is everyone's responsibility, but a quality professional like Josh can provide the necessary knowledge, tools and guidance to assist staff in pursuing excellence. The Temple team and I congratulate him on his accomplishment. He'll be able to make such a a positive contribution to his organisation."
