Building Future Talent Through Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships offer a direct pathway to developing a workforce tailored to your business. Temple provides the guidance, training and support employers need to attract talent, strengthen capability and invest confidently in future growth.

Understanding Apprenticeships

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship combines paid employment with structured training, enabling individuals to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours (KSBs) required for a specific occupation while contributing value to the organisation from day one.

Simple & Supported

An apprenticeship should never feel like extra work. Our team manages the complexity, helping employers navigate funding, compliance and programme delivery with confidence.

Funded Business Growth

Whether you're a large levy-paying organisation or an SME, apprenticeships provide a cost-effective route to developing capability, improving retention and building long-term organisational resilience.

Employer Benefits

Why Invest in Apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are more than a recruitment strategy. They are a long-term investment in capability, resilience and sustainable business growth.

Funding & Employer Benefits

Apprenticeships offer significant financial advantages for employers, helping organisations invest in talent while reducing training and employment costs.

The Apprenticeship Advantage
How They Strengthen Your Business

Build the exact expertise your organisation needs, reducing reliance on costly and competitive external recruitment.

Recruitment & Retention

Attract new talent while creating development opportunities that encourage existing employees to stay and grow.

Succession Planning

Develop future managers and leaders from within your organisation, creating a strong internal talent pipeline.

Workplace Diversity

Broaden access to opportunity and attract candidates from a wider range of backgrounds and experiences.

Funding Your Apprentice's Training

Employers are responsible for paying their apprentice’s salary, but the training itself is funded through government-backed schemes. The amount you contribute depends on your organisation’s annual payroll and whether you pay the Apprenticeship Levy.

Levy Paying Employers

The Apprenticeship Levy

Organisations with an annual pay bill above £3 million contribute 0.5% into a Levy account. These funds can then be used to pay for apprenticeship training and development.

SMEs & Non-Levy Employers

Government Co-Investment

Employers with a pay bill of £3 million or less do not pay the Levy. Instead, the government funds 95% of training costs, leaving employers to contribute only 5%.

Funding arrangements and apprenticeship rules are managed separately across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our team will guide you through the funding options available to your organisation and ensure you access the most appropriate support.
