This five-day Lead Auditor Training program (for qualified and practicing Lead Auditors) offers a detailed understanding of the core elements of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) ISO 14001:2015 and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) ISO 45001:2018, presented within the broader framework of organisational and operational improvement.
The training is specifically designed to strengthen auditing skills for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with an emphasis on applying a risk-based approach throughout the audit process.
Course Objectives
This course provides comprehensive coverage of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, their implementation, and auditing practices. The key objectives are to:
Deliver a detailed review of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 through an interactive, workshop-based approach.
Apply a risk-based methodology to environmental management (including the identification of impacts and their significance) and health & safety management (with a focus on hazard identification and risk assessment).
Develop understanding of environmental and health & safety legislation relevant to management systems.
Clarify the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors.
Equip participants with the knowledge and skills to plan and conduct audits of EMS and/or OHSMS effectively.
Strengthen reporting skills to ensure clear, impactful communication with management.
The successful completion of this course fulfils the requirements for becoming a registered OH&S lead auditor and adds credibility.
The course is based on the IRCA specification – PR357 ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.

Prerequisites
To successfully complete this course, it is recommended that participants meet the following requirements. This knowledge can be self-declared upon enrolment through your user profile on our Learning Management System (LMS). Two attempts are permitted for the declaration.
Knowledge of management systems auditing, demonstrated through successful completion of a CQI and IRCA-certified (or recognised equivalent) Auditor/Lead Auditor training course in another discipline.
Understanding of environmental management and OHSMS principles and concepts.
Familiarity with the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Important: If you are attending this course to extend your CQI and IRCA Lead Auditor qualification, it is mandatory to have successfully completed a five-day CQI and IRCA approved Lead Assessor course in any other discipline.
