This five-day Lead Auditor Training program (for qualified and practicing Lead Auditors) offers a detailed understanding of the core elements of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) ISO 14001:2015 and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) ISO 45001:2018, presented within the broader framework of organisational and operational improvement.

The training is specifically designed to strengthen auditing skills for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with an emphasis on applying a risk-based approach throughout the audit process.

Course Objectives

This course provides comprehensive coverage of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, their implementation, and auditing practices. The key objectives are to:

  • Deliver a detailed review of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 through an interactive, workshop-based approach.

  • Apply a risk-based methodology to environmental management (including the identification of impacts and their significance) and health & safety management (with a focus on hazard identification and risk assessment).

  • Develop understanding of environmental and health & safety legislation relevant to management systems.

  • Clarify the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors.

  • Equip participants with the knowledge and skills to plan and conduct audits of EMS and/or OHSMS effectively.

  • Strengthen reporting skills to ensure clear, impactful communication with management.

The successful completion of this course fulfils the requirements for becoming a registered OH&S lead auditor and adds credibility.

The course is based on the IRCA specification – PR357 ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.
