Learning objectives:

Explain the purpose of a quality management system, of quality management systems standards, of management system audit, of third-party certification and the business benefits of improved performance of the quality management system.

Explain the role and responsibilities of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a quality management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.

Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of quality management systems to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 9001:2015 in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.

    • Work-based experience in Quality Management:

    Knowledge of the continuous improvement cycle and its application within

    management systems.

    • Core Elements of a Management System:

  • By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Apply auditing skills across all stages of the audit process—from the opening meeting to the final report—

      through role plays and a variety of interactive activities.

    • Demonstrate an understanding of Risk-Based Thinking, Leadership, and Process Management, with increased awareness of their role in effective auditing.

    • Summarise the fundamental principles of auditing practice, including realistic approaches to planning, conducting, and reporting audits.

    • Identify and assess the challenges involved in consolidating audit programmes and executing audits effectively.

    • Complete a final examination to validate knowledge and practical understanding gained throughout the course.

  • CQI & IRCA Lead Auditor Online Exam

    Standardisation & Management:

    Since November 2022, CQI & IRCA have introduced a globally standardised online exam for lead auditors, managed by CQI & IRCA but facilitated by training providers like us.

    Access & Preparation:

    During the workshop, access details and instructions on how to schedule and attempt practice assessments will be provided.

    Results & Certification:

    Results are validated within 10 UK business days.

    Learners will be notified once results are available.
